Mining & Resources
Security, cabling, networks and AV for resources tenancies — corporate headquarters delivered to group security standards, and project offices stood up fast and stood down cleanly when the project ends.
A Perth head office for a resources company isn’t designed in Perth — it’s designed in a global security standard, and delivered here. We build the tenancy to that document: the specified access platform, the specified camera coverage, the specified network segregation, evidenced for the group security team.
A feasibility team or project JV needs a working floor — access, cameras, cabling, network — by a date tied to the project, not to a landlord’s convenience. We scope from plans, install around the fit-out trades, and hand over a floor that works on day one.
The same offices come down when the project ends or the JV winds up. We strip the tenancy to make-good, wipe recorders and controllers before they leave, and return or dispose of hardware to your asset process — so closing the office is a line item, not a loose end.
Resources offices see a constant flow of contractors, consultants and site personnel. Intercoms, visitor credentials and access zoning keep that traffic moving through reception with a record of who was on the floor — without a partner’s office being on the tour.
Project lifecycle
Resources tenancies are unusual: many of them have a known end date the day they open. A study team takes half a floor for two years; a construction JV takes three floors until first ore. We design for that lifecycle — hardware and cabling scoped for the project term rather than a twenty-year fit-out, documentation kept current so decommissioning is a checklist rather than an investigation, and the same team handling stand-up, changes as headcount swells and shrinks, and the final strip to make-good. One contractor across the whole arc means nobody is reverse-engineering someone else’s installation at handback.
That’s the normal shape of these jobs. Send us the standard — platform, coverage, retention, network segregation — and we quote against it clause by clause, flagging anything the building or Australian regulations make awkward before it becomes a variance discussion with group security.
Usually, yes. The enterprise platforms resources companies standardise on — Gallagher among them — are built for multi-site estates, so the Perth floor becomes another site your global team administers, rather than a standalone system someone local has to remember to manage.
We won’t quote a number a real building can’t honour — lead times depend on the tenancy, base-building approvals and hardware availability. What we will do is commit to a program up front, sequence our work with the fit-out trades, and tell you early if a date is at risk rather than on the day.
Whatever your asset process requires. Gear worth keeping is decommissioned cleanly and migrated or returned; the rest is wiped and disposed of, and the tenancy is stripped to the make-good standard in your lease. See our office defit page for how that works.
